How to calculate area in MapInfo using Data Assistant

OK on this MapInfo tutorial I am going to show you how to calculate object area using Query. There is an addon module called Data Assistant that can help us to perform queries in Mapinfo in easier ways. But its not a free software. You can Googling to find this software. Actually MapInfo can done this easily, see my previous tutorial on how to calculate polygon area using Query.

OK on the picture below, I want to calculate those polygon in a single way. This method will be useful if we want to calculate many polygons at the same time. It will save your work time a lot.

 

As I've mention before, I am gonna use Data Assistant to assist me on this. Data Assistant has a menu called Calculate Area. Simply select the table and all done in matter of seconds. We can calculate the whole table or just some selected objects. Also we can also calculate based on ID inside the table. Its pretty nice.
