Micromine tutorial-How to create new data file

Micromine has its own built in database so we can store both object and data inside Micromine. On this tutorial I am going to show you how to create a new data file on Micromine. This data file will store any information of a file including coordinates and many other geospatial information, geological, assay result etc.

To create a new data file, please follow these procedures:

File | New. Type the file name for the new data file and select DATA on the type of the file. Check the Auto open file for edition options. This will open the file editing window after you press OK.

On the file modification window, enter the field name, type width and decimal.

Micromine supports several field type such as N (Numeric), C(Character), R (real), L (Long), S (Short). Each type has its own maximum length.

When done, close the editor and you are ready to enter the data into the table.
